The JH Movie Collection Movie: The Fate of the Tour is an upcoming American computer-animated adventure comedy film directed by Don Hall and Chris Williams and based on the show of its same name created by Matt Groening and Stephen Heneveld. It was produced by released and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Animation Group, Warner Bros. Animation, Movie Land Animation Studios Legendary Entertainment Village Roadshow Pictures, Access Entertainment, Dune Entertainment, Amblin Entertainment, Walden Media and Aardman Animations. The film stars Adam Sandler, Jim Carrey, Jamie Chung, Rihanna, Michael J. Fox, James Corden, Katie Crown, Andy Samberg, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Bill Hader and Gal Gadot will reprising the voice roles from the first two films.
The JH Movie Collection Movie: The Fate of the Tour is now schedule for the theatrical release on September 4, 2020 in the United States.
The next chapter, The JH Movie Collection Movie 4: Lost in Florida, will be scheduled to be released on May 28, 2021. The spin-off film, Jerry and Will, will also scheduled to be released on July 2, 2021, with Sony Pictures Animation acquired US distribution rights to the film.

Warner Bros. Pictures Legendary Entertainment Movie Land Animation Studios and Warner Animation Group had already begun the process of starting development of movies with budgets of around $326 million. The intellectual property for these films was meant to be supplied by Movie Land Animation Studios and Warner Animation Group among others and included Storks, Penguinopolis, Smallfoot, Sarcastics and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part had been approaching the original crew from the television series to make a high-profile, animated theatrical feature-length film adaptation and had long wanted to partner with Warner Bros. Pictures to release the sequel film given the network's extraordinary legacy in the world of animation, including some of the most enduring characters on cable television history.
Don Hall and Chris Williams agreed to make a feature film version of the show with the promise it would be the first of a planned trilogy. During development stages of the film, he and his co-director Stephen Heneveld and co-writer Roberto Orci intended to revisit some of the greatest films of the time, with Ready Player One, The Lego Movie and Wonder Park having the core inspirations for the film.
Casting[]
In March 2019, it was announced that Adam Sandler, Jim Carrey, Jamie Chung, Rihanna, James Corden, Andy Samberg, Bill Hader and Gal Gadot will reprise their roles, with Alma Varsano playing as Sammy. In May 2019, it was announced that Daryl Sabara, Ellie Goulding, Avril Lavigne, Tom Cruise and Tenzing Norgay Trainor will join the cast.
Pre-production[]
Pre-production officially began in the United Kingdom by early May 2018. That same month, director Don Hall and Chris Williams stated that the film will be another great love story with a new love interest being cast. In April 2018, the film was confirmed to be set in 1980s. The next month, the producer Roy Lee was announced to be making of the film spin-offs, as well as the actor Jamie Chung also reprise the roles.
Animation[]
The computer animation for the film was created by Movie Land Digital Production Services in San Francisco, California, led by MLDPS's studio in Mumbai, London, Vancouver, Singapore, Mexico City and Montreal, with William Renschen, Mark Edwards and Matthew D. Simmons were served as a visual effects supervisors, using Blender and Autodesk Maya and was also provided by Aardman Animations in Bristol, United Kingdom for the motion capture animation. The overseas animation is provided by Studio Mir in South Korea, who provided animation for Voltron: Legendary Defender, WildBrain Entertainment in Toronto, Canada, who also provided the film's 2D animation, and Nørlum Studios in Denmark.

The JH Movie Collection Movie: The Fate of the Tour - The Movie Soundtrack is the soundtrack album for the film, released on August 16, 2020 through WaterTower Music alongside the theatrical release. The original score was composed by Henry Jackman, Lorne Balfe, Tom Holkenborg and Rupert Gregson-Williams with the original songs by Hailee Steinfeld and Karen Marie Aagaard Ørsted Andersen. The film's end credits song is "High on You" by Sigma and John Newman, "Dynamite" by BTS and "Paris" by Kungs.
Release[]
The film was originally released on May 22, 2020, it was announced that the release of the film would be indefinitely delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On March 25, Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Entertainment announced that it would be actually set to be theatrically released in the United States on the same release date as the second film, which is August 14, 2020 taking over the release date for Wonder Woman 1984.
On August 2, the theatrical release has been canceled in other territories and will be released via VOD on August 28, 2020. A couple days later, Disney+ acquired international distribution rights to the film, excluding the United States, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, and China. On August 14, it was delayed again to September 4, 2020 after Tenet's US theatrical release.
Marketing[]
On August 10, 2019, Movie Land Animation Studios released 21 character posters for the film, along with promotional film stills. A day later, they released a trailer for the film. On December 13, 2019, Warner Bros. release the official trailer for the film. On February 2, 2020, Warner Bros. released the Super Bowl commercial for the film.
On March 26, 2020, Warner Bros. Pictures Legendary Entertainment and Movie Land Animation Studios will release the first trailer with the new release date, featuring Dua Lipa as Maria. On July 7, the final trailer was released with newcomers. On August 21, 2020, the final poster for the film was released with the new release date.
Sequel[]

The fourth film was announced on December 18, 2018, with Gary Ross and William Renschen were served as director from the screenplay by Rodney Rothman, Gary Ross and Nicholas Stoller. The film will be release on May 28, 2021 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
