The Hollow is an upcoming American computer-animated science fantasy mystery adventure comedy film based on the Netflix original series of its same name created by Josh Mepham, Kathy Antonsen Rocchio, Greg Sullivan & Vito Viscomi. It was directed by William Renschen, Peter Ramsey and Rob Letterman. Produced by Sony Pictures Animation, TSG Entertainment, Movie Land Animation Studios, Spyglass Media Group and Slap Happy Cartoons, they would reprise their role as Mira, Adam, Vanessa, Kai, Skeet, Reeve and various actors.
The film stars the voice roles of Tye Sheridan, Ashleigh Ball, Kelsey Grammer, Diana Kaarina, Alex Barima, Jesse Moss and other actors.
This film will be released on September 17, 2021 in the United States by Sony Pictures Releasing under the Columbia Pictures label.

- Tye Sheridan as Adam, who is clever, incredibly strong and agile, and assumes the role of leader of the group. He is one of the main protagonists.
- Peter Bundic plays Adam in the live-action scenes.
- Ashleigh Ball as Mira, who is good at puzzles, able to communicate with animals and creatures, breathe underwater and swim at great speeds. She is one of the main protagonists.
- Lana Jalissa plays Mira in the live-action scenes.
- Kelsey Grammer as Kai, who is smart and nerdy, being a tech whiz, and chose the ability to create and manipulate fire. However, he's impulsive, not very athletic and often makes jokes that only he finds funny. He is one of the main protagonists.
- Harrison Houde plays Kai in the live-action scenes.
- Elle Fanning as Iris, one of the new main antagonists. She has the ability to increase her size for a short time.
- Diana Kaarina as Vanessa. Along with being able to fly, she is incredibly manipulative and scheming. It is revealed that she cheated by contacting someone who placed digiblock lens on her eyes to keep her memory from being erased and thus secretly caused the "glitch".
- Destiny Millens plays Vanessa in the live-action scenes.
- Alex Barima as Reeve, a boy who can move things with his mind. He is shown to be the most malicious of his group.
- Abdoul Diallo plays Reeve in the live-action scenes
- Jesse Moss as Skeet, who can run at super speed. He is the least malicious of his group and at some point tries to convince his teammates to work together with their competitors after he is made aware of the dangers represented by the glitches. His real name is Bernard and he was a childhood friend to Mira since preschool.

- Kazumi Evans as Nisha, one of the new main antagonists.
- Sam Vincent as Tyler, one of the new main antagonists. He has the ability to manipulate the weather.
- Mark Hildreth as The Weird Guy or Weirdy or Gustaf (Real Life), an eccentric and mysterious individual who appears whenever someone says the phrase "help please". Outside the game he is the host.

Development[]
A computer-animated film adaptation for the Netflix original series was announced on March 17, 2019, with Sony Pictures Animation and Movie Land Animation Studios will acquiring rights to make an untitled PG-rated film based on the Netflix series. On June 14, the development begun in Santa Monica. Principal photography had began in the early July in Jalisco, Mexico.

It was announced that Tye Sheridan, Ashleigh Ball, Kelsey Grammer, Diana Kaarina, Alex Barima, Jesse Moss and other actors will reprise their roles from the show.
Animation[]
The character animation and computer graphics were handled by Movie Land Digital Production Services, in San Francisco, being led by MLDPS's studio in Mumbai, Vancouver, London and Singapore, with William Renschen, Vanitha Rangaraju and Stephen Rosenbaum were served as a visual effects supervisors. The live-action visual effects were provided by DNEG.
Music[]
The music score for the film were composed and produced by Henry Jackman, James Newton Howard, Lorne Balfe, Tom Holkenborg, Daniel Pemberton, Justin Bieber and other composers like Pharrell Williams, Rupert Gregson-Williams, Virginia to Vegas, Sam Feldt, David Guetta, Heitor Pereira, Lennon Stella, Thomas Newman, Calvin Harris, Shawn Mendes, Dua Lipa, Bebe Rexha, Michael Giacchino, Jonas Blue, John Powell and Syn Cole.
