The Great Spy Racers is an 2019 American science fiction auto racing chase adventure action comedy film directed by Bobby Pontillas and Andrew Chesworth and produced by Alejandro Munoz, William Renschen, Ella Ray and Gore Verbinski with the screenplays by Nicholas Stoller, Rodney Rothman and David Koepp and story by David Koepp. This is Taiko Studios' first feature film since One Small Step. Produced by Movie Land Animation Studios, Taiko Studios and Blindwink Productions, the film stars the voice of Chris Pratt, Bill Hader, Michelle Rodriguez, Jamie Chung, Jason Sudeikis, David Cross, Tenzing Norgay Trainor, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Gal Gadot, Hailee Steinfeld, Albert Tsai and Jake Gyllenhaal.
The film tells the story about the spy racer named Daniel, who specializes in driving the car. Daniel's friends includes David, Nick, William, Sara, Nina, Emily and Joe.
The Great Spy Racers had its world premiere at Dolby Theatre on December 11, 2019. It will be released theatrically on December 25, 2019 in the United States by Warner Bros. Pictures in IMAX, RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema and 2D theaters.
The Great Spy Racers recieved six Academy Award nominations for Best Visual Effects, Best Picture, Best Animated Feature (losing to Toy Story 4), Best Original Score, Best Sound Mixing and Best Original Song.
The Great Spy Racers recieved five Movie Land Fun and Excitement Award nominations for Best Animated Feature (losing to Abominable), Best Screenplay, Best Visual Effects, Best Sound Mixing, Best Director for Films and Short Films and Voice Acting in a Feature Production.
