Rankin-Bass Animated Entertainment was a Canadian/Malaysian/Japanese/Indian/Singaporean animation studio founded by Larry Juris (who later became president of TAJ Productions) in Toronto, Ontario in late 1981. The studio was acquired by Nelvana on December 4, 1996, and became a subsidiary there since then. The Rankin/Bass brand is no longer used, and from 1996 to 1997, all shows were branded using the Nelvana name. Since 1998, all shows are now branded under the Collingwood & Co./O' Hare name.

History[]

The company was founded in 1987 by Larry Juris. On August 4, 2017, The Walt Disney Company acquired the studio. On September 8, 2017, the renaming of the studio was announced.
