Michael LaPai is a French-American director, screenwriter, animator, producer, president and occasional voice actor at Movie Land Animation Studios. He was a member of the creative team at Movie Land Digital Production Services, where he started in 1988 as a supervising animator. He is best known for directing films.
Early life[]
LaPai was born on May 5, 1971 to a Jewish family in France, and raised in Brooklyn, New York City.
Career[]
In the 1980s, he started his career as an animator at Hanna-Barbera where he worked on several projects at the newly-formed Ted-LaPai Productions studio.
In 1988, Ted-LaPai Productions was separated from Hanna-Barbera and renamed as Movie Land Animation Studios; founders Ted V. Miller and Rodney Rothman brought in some of the animators from Hanna-Barbera to the studio, and LaPai was one of them.
LaPai is Vice-President of Creativity at Movie Land Animation Studios.

LaPai is married to Jane and they have two children: Josh and Amy.
