Goosebumps is an upcoming American computer-animated science fantasy action adventure comedy film based on the book of its same name created by R. L. Stine. It was directed by William Renschen. The film is produced by Sony Pictures Animation, Movie Land Animation Studios, Original Film & Scholastic Corporation and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. The film stars the voice of Andy Serkis.

The film will be theatrically released on September 4, 2020 by Sony Pictures under the Columbia Pictures label.

Visual Effects, Animation and Design

The visual effects are provided by Movie Land Digital Production Services "animation and vfx (which were led by MLDPS’s studio in London and Mumbai, with William Renschen serving as vfx supervisor)". The production team used computer animation to create a realistic version of Slappy the Dummy.

Technology

PIX System provided the production crew with secure access to production content and project management throughout the suite of devices used.

Music

The score was composed by Henry Jackman. The soundtrack will be released on September 2, 2020 on digital and on Compact Disc on September 9, 2020 by Atlantic Records and score on Sony Classical Records.

Release

Goosebumps will be released on September 4, 2020 in IMAX, RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema and 2D theaters by Sony Pictures Releasing under the Columbia Pictures label.
