Cold Water is an 2019 American-Spanish adventure comedy film that is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures in the United States, StudioCanal in the United Kingdom and Buena Vista International in other territories. It was produced by Movie Land Entertainment, ImageMovers, Amblin Entertainment and 1492 Pictures. The movie was directed by Ted V. Miller and stars Jim Carrey, Simon Pegg, Scott Adsit, Tim Allen and Genesis Rodriguez. The movie was theatrically released by Warner Bros. in the United States on May 17, 2019 and was internationally released by Buena Vista International in other territories on June 21, 2019 and was released by StudioCanal in the United Kingdom on June 28, 2019. The movie was based on songs of its same name performed by Major Lazer, MØ and Justin Bieber.

In 2014, the movie title will be in development when getting ready to make this film that based on songs. On June 21, 2017, it was announced that Ted V. Miller signed on to direct in June 2017. The film rights were purchased by Warner Bros. on the same title.

In the late 2017, Jim Carrey announced that its leader will be voicing Eric.
Visual effects[]
The visual effects of the movie was created by Sony Pictures Imageworks, Movie Land Digital Production Services, Pixomondo and Nørlum Studios and the underwater creature settings effects was created by Jim Henson's Creature Shop who provides all 9 films.
Sound[]
The sound effects of the movie was recorded, made, edited, designed and customized at Skywalker Sound in Marin County, California in thr United States of America with Ethan Van der Ryn supervising the sound editorial, Randy Thom designing the sound and Gary Rydstrom, Gary Summers and Gary A. Rizzo mixing the re-recording.
