6teen is an upcoming American computer-animated comedy adventure film based on the television series of its same name created and directed by Jennifer Pertsch and Tom McGillis. It was produced by Sony Pictures Animation and Movie Land Animation Studios and directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, who is directed on Avatar: The Last Airbender, Voltron: Legendary Defender and his first film Ned's Newt. The film stars the voice of Jason Sudeikis, Claire Foy, Jake Johnson, Jamie Chung, Hailee Steinfeld and Mahershala Ali.
The film will be released on September 3, 2021 by Sony Pictures Releasing under the Columbia Pictures label.

Cast[]
- Jason Sudeikis as Jude Lizowski, an easygoing Jewish Canadian boy with a knack for extreme sports, over-the-top comportment and pranks.
- Claire Foy as Caitlin Cooke, a peppy, spoiled teenage girl with a love for shopping. She is not originally a part of the group, but became their friend when she started working to show her father she can earn money after she maxed out her credit card.
- Jake Johnson as Jonesy Garcia, a tall, Mexican Canadian flirtatious teenage boy, the joker of the group and in a relationship with Nikki Wong. He also picks on Jennifer Masterson and calls her "step-sis" because his father eventually marries Jen's mother.
- Jamie Chung as Nikki Wong, a rebellious punk Chinese Canadian girl with a quick, sarcastic wit and is in a relationship with Jonesy Garcia.
- Hailee Steinfeld as Jen Masterson, a responsible, athletic girl that serves as the "motherly tomboy" of the group. Her mother remarries to Jonesy's father, reluctantly making the pair step-siblings.
- Mahershala Ali as Wyatt Williams, a Black Canadian music-loving boy with a caffeine addiction.

On May 17, 2017, it was announced that it will develop an untitled 2021 Sony Pictures Animation and Movie Land Animation Studios film, with Joaquim Dos Santos was set to direct the film. In March 2018, the film adaptation of Jennifer Pertsch and Tom McGillis's 6teen was announced with Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were served as the producer and Rodney Rothman was served as the writer. On June 24, 2018, it was announced that 6teen will be scheduled to be released on September 3, 2021 in the United States with Sony Pictures Animation and Movie Land Animation Studios will acquiring rights to produce the film. On April 13, 2019, it was announced that Amy Pascal was served as the producer. On January 19, 2020, William Renschen was served as the producer.
Casting[]
On August 31, 2018, Jason Sudeikis, Claire Foy and Jake Johnson will join the cast in San Diego Comic-Con. On October 13, 2018, Jamie Chung, Hailee Steinfeld and Mahershala Ali, who were collaborated with SPA on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, will join the cast.
Animation[]
The computer animation for the film is made by Movie Land Digital Production Services in San Francisco, California, which is led by its studio in India, Vancouver, Singapore and London with William Renschen and Stephen Rosenbaum were served as a visual effects supervisors. The team uses the computer animation to make the CGI version from the characters from the television series, 6teen.
Music[]
The music score soundtrack for the film is composed by Henry Jackman and Rupert Gregson-Williams with instrumental percussion composed by Daniel Pemberton and vocals by Selena Gomez.

6teen is scheduled to be released on September 3, 2021 in the United States.
